Using the principle of evaporative cooling, the shelter is made from two clay pots, one inside the other. The space between the pots is filled with water. As the water evaporates through the porous clay, it absorbs heat and cools the air inside the inner pot—creating a refreshing escape from the heat. A conical roof reflects sunlight, reducing heat buildup. A plastic-flap door keeps the cool air inside while letting cats move in and out freely.

This innovative design provides a much-needed respite for outdoor cats, helping them stay safe and comfortable during the hottest months of the year.
